At the crease for England will be Ian Bell on 95*, he will be aiming for a much needed test century number 18, after being criticized of late for not making use of his starts. He was extremely patient during day three, and will bat with the same caution on day four, to extent the English lead as far as possible, although many feel that they already have enough runs on the board. With him will be Stuart Broad on 47*, the tall fast bowler showed good composure, proving that he’s one and only test century was no fluke. The pair will be cautious during morning session, both approaching huge personal milestones, while building a formidable England lead. England still have Swann in the hut, who is more than capable with the bat in hand. They will most likely target a lead of at least 35, before they will even consider declaring.

With the pitch playing some tricks, Australia will have different ideas of the morning session. IF they can wrap up the England innings quickly, they might still have a chance of winning the test. This is very unlikely, but as we saw with Australia’s batting display in the first innings, you can never discount an Australian batting line-up. Shane Watson and Captain Michael Clarke will be crucial with the bat, the experienced pair will have to do the bulk of the run scoring. With the amount of time left in the test, a draw seems to be the last result on the cards, and past that one can pretty much inly see and English win.
