Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test - Full Highlights

After a great and unexpected showing from Bangladesh in the first test, we move to Colombo for the second test against Sri Lanka. The latter will be disappointed, after a mammoth first innings total, not being able to take 20 Bangladesh wickets. It has to be said, the pitch looked flat throughout, but Sri Lanka will still feel they had enough quality in their attack to take a series lead.

Bangladesh batting will be full of confidence, with centuries from Mahammah Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain. This will certainly give the team tons of self-belief, and any team with self- belief can be a dangerous team. If their bowlers come to the party, we could be in for a surprise. Good news for the tourists is that Tamim Iqbal will make a welcome return to the ream after missing the first test due to injury.

Sri Lanka will be looking for a much improved performance, particularly from their bowling line-up. There might be one or two changes in the line-up considering the condition in Colombo. Chanaka Welededara and Suranga Lakmal, are two players the selectors will be looking at. This means that Sri Lanka might leave out a spin option, to include another seam bowler.

The last time these two played a test at the R.Premadasa Stadium in 2005, Sri Lanka won the match by an innings and 96 runs. Of the seven test matches played at the ground, four have ended in draws, so Bangladesh might just be fancying their chances of pulling off another upset.
