The Zimbabwe bowling line-up seemed to be doing a good job in the first ODI, restricting the Tigers to 94/4 at one stage. There bowling in the middle to death stages of the innings was not up to scratch and allowed the Tigers to set a target Zimbabwe never looked like getting close to. Masakadza was the best with the ball taking 4/51 from his 10 overs spell. The 18 wides they conceded will also be a concern for the coach, and will hopefully be rectified for the second ODI, lack of experience certainly not a excuse for this. Many though it would be the spin of Bangladesh that would win them the match, but it was the pace of Ziaur Rahman, Zimbabwe’s batting will have to improve find a way to combat the swing bowling.

Bangladesh will be looking more to their top order this time. Iqbal, Ashraful and Haque all getting starts, and failing to carry it through. The middle of of Rahim and Al Hasan both failed, leaving the bulk of the run scoring to the lower order. Nasir Hossain will be looking to continue his form scoring a well played 68 in the first ODI. Tamim Iqbal will be the key for them, if he gets off to a good start, the Tigers will have a good chance of taking the series.

Taylor will be doing everything in his ability to avoid a series loss, his bat will have to do the talking, and his leadership on the field will be imperative leading a young inexperienced side.
