India vs Australia 3rd Test Full Highlights

With day one called off due to the weather Gods, it must be said that Australia might be a bit relieved. With all that’s been happening in and around the squad, the washed out first day , might just take a bit of the edge off proceedings for the Ausies. With new revelation made my Mike Hussey, regarding the timing of his retirement, not making thins any easier.

This is the time for the captain Michael Clarke to really stand up. Statistically he has all in his favor, but is he as good a leader as he’s predecessors? Steve Waugh & Ricky Ponting were mentally as tough as nails, can the same be said for Clarke?

Before the start of the rest it was confirmed that Shakhar Dhawan will make his debut for India. The 27 year old has a first class average of 45, and has been knocking on the door for a while. He will be replacing Virender Sehwag, who seems to be closing on the end of his international career. Let’s hope that Dhawan will provide us with the same quality entertainment.

For Australia it seems that it will be Maxwell and Wade who will sit out this one. Wade more due to a niggle, then a straight selection decision. The jury is still out on Maxwell, if he is test material, seeming to thrive more on the one day and T20 versions.

Let’s hope for sun on day two, and that the weather Gods will allow the game to continue in Mohali.
