Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab T20 – Full Highlights
Kings XI Punjab management will have a few hard team selection decisions to make. They simply have to find a place for Shaun Marsh, who has showed in previous IPL seasons what he is capable of doing. This will mean that either captain Adam Gilchrist of David Hussey will have to sit out. Azhar Manmood has also been disappointing with the bat, and went for plenty of runs in their previous match. Selectors might opt to stick with him, and he can win a match with either discipline on the day.
The Mumbai Indian will be high on confidence after their convincing win over the table toping Royal Challengers. They’ve looked a different side since leaving out appointed captain Ricky Ponting. They are a much better balanced side, with Mitchell Johnson coming in down the order, and Dwayne Smith providing some support with the ball as well. Malinga hasn’t been as lethal as previous seasons, although he has just started to find his form in the last couple of games. He will be key when opening the bowling, as a few quick strikes into the Kings XI top order, will put them on the back foot.
Two very well balances sides, with a great match in prospect. Will Malinga get the better of the Kings XI batting order, or will Shaun Marsh be included and provide the much needed stability for the Punjab top order?
