Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI- Full Highlights

We move to Supersport Park, Centurion for the second ODI between South Africa and Pakistan. Pakistan were handed a ODI lesson by the South Africans in Bloemfontein, and will be looking for a much improved performance in all facets of the their game.

South Africa will most likely field the same 11 as in Bloemfontein, as they build towards the champions trophy in England later this year. The South African top order all seemed to be in good nick, and they will be looking towards Smith and Amla to get them off to a good start once again. Farhan Berhardien finally came to the party in his “finishing” role for South Africa, and also played a good innings in the local T20 series currently underway, this will certainly boost his confidence level.

Pakistan struggled in all facets of the game in Bloemfontein. They bowled 31 over of spin, going at over 6 runs to the over. This normally being the teams strong point, being able to contain with spin, backfired on them in Bloemfontein. I expect to maybe see another seam bowler into the attack, so try and balance the attack. Wahab Riaz would be the logical choice on the more bouncy Centurion track. All the batsmen got starts, but no conversions. This will be a worry to Pakistan. Look out for Nasir Jamshed at the top of the order, who looks to be very promising.

South Africa have won 18 of their 28 games played at Centurion, with the last match in October 2011, which they lost against Australia by 93 runs. Expect another onslaught by South Africa, who as they put it, will be looking to play ruthless cricket, a brand of cricket, which made them number one in test matches.
