Pakistan vs South Africa 3rd ODI- Full Highlights

A brilliant opening spell from Mohammad Irfan inspired Pakistan to level the series at one all in Pretoria. They won the rain affected fixture by 6 wickets, with 28 balls remaining. We move the Bullring in Johannesburg for the third game in the ODI series, which will day game. Always an intimidating ground, as the name suggests, South Africa will look to bounce back after a lethargic performance in Pretoria.

South Africa will have a few questions about the form of their top order. The ever steady Hashim Amla, needs to put his hand up, with his opening partner Greame Smith. They were blown away by the bounce of Mohammag Irfan, something that they should be well accustomed to on their home wicket. Bowling wise, there was very little penetration, not something that coach Kirsten will want to see so close to the ICC champions trophy just a few months away.

Pakistan looked much more confident, in all three disciplines, and will be looking to build on this. Misbah-ul-Haq played a captains knock to see his team home, and was well supported by the experience of Shoaid Malik and Younis Khan. They will be hoping for more of that in the third ODI. The spin trio of Afridi, Hafeez and Ajmal were back in form bowling 25 overs between them and only conceding 82 runs, at 3.28 runs per over, and taking 4 wickets between them.

South Africa and Pakistan have played each other on three occasion at the Wanderers, with South Africa coming out victors all three times, with victories of 7 wickets, 157 runs, and 9 wickets. All huge wins. South Africa’s overall record at the Wanderers, includes 18 winds from 26 games played.
